The largest of the San Juan isles, at 57 square miles, Orcas Island is the second most populous. An enchanting green paradise, often referred to as the “emerald isle”, Orcas Island is home to one of the nation’s most beautiful and loved parks, Moran State Park, known for it’s hiking, biking, swimming and camping. Though without an incorporated town, Orcas Island is graced with a handful of charming hamlets. With a number of artist studios, boutiques and wonderful restaurants serving local fare, Orcas Island is widely considered the mecca of artisans in the San Juans.
